LCR Electronics was established in 1985 and primarily designs, develops and produces EMI Filters and Electronic Control Boards. Initially our products were sold into the Military/Aerospace markets and in the early 1990’s we also started supplying the Commercial market. We are an ISO 9001-2000 facility and have worked with several of our customers on 6 Sigma programs. We own a 50,000 square foot facility in Norristown Pennsylvania that houses our engineering, test labs, administration, manufacturing, and assembly. In addition, LCR Electronics owns and operates a low cost high volume production facility in Kunshan China where most of our high volume commercial products are assembled.
Malco Technologies was offered for sale in September 2003. LCR Electronics successfully completed the acquisition of all Malco Technologies assets on December 31, 2003 and these assets were moved to LCR’s facility in January 2004. The assets, inventory and intellectual property were purchased in their entirety and included all capital equipment, assembly equipment, molds and dies, drawings, bills of material, assembly instructions, and QA records in electronics media as well as historical drawing files and records. The Malco acquisition was driven in part by the experience of several former key Malco employees who were part of the LCR team and very familiar with Malco and the Malco products. This acquisition was fully supported by LCR’s senior management due to the natural synergy between our products and customers and those of Malco, especially in the Military/Aerospace area. LCR Electronics currently has over 12 former Malco employees working at LCR including key engineering, wire wrap and production personnel. For over 50 years, Malco and Malco Manufacturing as it was formerly know, was an industry leader in the Backplane, Card Cage, Custom Enclosure and Wire Wrap markets for Military, Commercial and Telecommunication industries. LCR Electronics is providing the same quality products, as well as developing new products, to meet the constantly changing requirements and challenges of our customers. |
